The Virginia Beach Convention Center embraced sustainability from its inception, with great design, abundant natural light, and many energy efficient systems. As an early adopter of recycling best practices, we are proud to have been the first Virginia Green Convention Center at the start of the program in 2007. Since that time, being a green facility is not only important, it is part of our identity and ongoing commitment to the community. We know that protecting our environment, conserving natural resources, and operating efficiently provides a better workplace for staff, great indoor air quality, and keeps operating expenses low. We continually raise the bar on being green and challenge others in the industry to join us.
