CharlottesvilleFamily is a regional family media brand serving Charlottesville and Central Virginia, published by Zinnia Communications, LLC. We produce editorial content, event and activity guides, and advertising for local and visiting families through our website, email newsletters, social channels, the digital magazine Bloom, and the annual print Ultimate Go-To Guide. Our audience is families planning outings, day trips, dining, and weekend activities across the region.

The majority of what we publish is digital and requires no paper, ink, or physical distribution. Our print productS, the annual Ultimate Go-To Guide and Bloom Magazine, is produced in a controlled print run sized to actual demand and distributed through a targeted local network rather than mass drops, which keeps waste and transport impacts low. We work remotely, reducing facility and commuting footprint.

Our largest environmental contribution is reach. Each month we put recommendations in front of thousands of Central Virginia families about where to go, eat, and stay. That makes us a direct channel for promoting Virginia Green certified partners, state parks, trails, farms, and outdoor recreation to a substantial local and visiting audience. We routinely feature outdoor and nature-based activities, low-impact day trips, and locally owned businesses.
